The school is planned to be located in an existing area of affordable work force housing and will breathe new life into the surrounding area by giving its children an opportunity for an education with emphasis on sustainability. The complete complex of approximately seven acres is designed to meet the United States Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Certification. Exposed sustainable features that are intended to act as an active learning environment will include a rain collecting cistern for irrigation, exposed mechanical equipment
and interactive kiosks. The finished complex of over 70,000 square feet includes the initial phase of classrooms, offices, and multipurpose facilities (30000 sq. ft.) Future phases will consist of a multi-purpose building and an
environmental education center.
