This project involved working within the confines of a tight site allowing for limited opportunities for development. The site constraints steered the design of the building into a shallow building, which in turn, allows ample natural light to penetrate building interiors. This allows for less demand in artificial lighting. The building was designed to portray a warm, clean, modern design to provoke a sense of a healthy building where patients will enjoy their visits. Other features of the building include a covered walkway, recycling areas, insulated glazing and energy efficient HVAC systems. The building is also equipped with water saving plumbing fixtures.
